Thomas Massie Calls for Americans to Pressure Biden Administration to Avoid Iran Conflict
Washington: U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie has urged Americans to pressure President Joe Biden and his administration to avoid escalating tensions with Iran, amidst rising conflicts in the Middle East.
Massie voiced his concerns on X, stating, “Biden and the deep state seem eager to drag us into a serious conflict with Iran. We need to stop them.”
The U.S. has increased its military presence in the region, deploying additional F-22 Raptor jets in response to the growing tensions between Iran and Israel. On Thursday, a senior administration official warned of severe repercussions if Iran were to directly attack Israel.
Massie also shared a meme humorously suggesting that the U.S. should resolve its issues in Ukraine before considering a conflict with Iran. The meme read, “You have to finish your Ukraine before you can have any Iran.”
Last month, a congressional commission on the U.S. National Defense Strategy highlighted concerns that the country could face significant setbacks if engaged in simultaneous conflicts with major adversaries.
